By the end of Q3 2018 UK commercial property transaction volumes totalled £48.5bn*. Q3 saw the lowest volumes for the year to date – with £12.7bn transacting during the period. Volumes were at their highest during the first quarter of the year (£19.6bn) and then dropped in the second quarter (to £16.2 bn). Notable deals to complete during the period include the £1.4bn sale of Network Rail’s Arches portfolio to Blackstone/Telereal Trillium and the sale of the Adelphi Building in Central London to Spanish investor, and founder of the retail chain Zara, Pontegadea for £550m.
